Womb Chair
The original design idea for this chair came from Florence Knolls request for "a chair that was like a basket of pillows....something I could really curl up in". Eero Saarinen then developed the Womb chair from a fibreglass shell that supported multiple sitting positions giving a comforting sense of security.
